Stampers Delights Progressive Challenge – April

It’s April 1st, and it’s time for another Stampers Delights Progressive Challenge–no foolin’.  Head on over to the Stampers Delights Delights Facebook Fan Group and check it out!  Join each month to receive the monthly image for free!  This month is a Cactus Sample with an incredibly fun pun!  Click below for details:

I love a good pun and as much as I wanted to use it on my card, it will have to wait until next time.  I needed a different kind of encouraging card, so I used a cactus sentiment that I already had in my stash. Because my sentiment talks about stars, I went for a starry night sky.  The last time I used my blue glittery acrylic paint, I cleaned off my brayer on a piece of cardstock.  So I started with that as a base.  I sponged Distress Oxides all over it and then did some Wrinkle Free Distress Technique to add some more color and more texture.  I splattered some white paint, but wasn’t happy with those stars, so I added some more stars using white Enamel Accents.  But it still needed some more sparkle, so I added more stars with Stickles.  Here’s a close up shot of the sparkle:

Stampers Delights March Release – Kawaii Carrots

It’s March, and that means it’s time for a new release from Stampers Delights.  You can find the entire March release here.  This card uses the Kawaii Carrots digital stamp.

I love all the carrots in this set and was so excited to use them to make my own designer paper.  That’s always fun to do with digital stamps, don’t you think?

Now that I had my DIY designer paper, I decided to use the technique that was showcased in a recent Technique Lover’s Challenge. It’s a pretty easy fun fold.  The only kind I like to do.  I did print out my rabbit a little bit too big to fit in the circle.  Oops!

But it gives it character, right?  Here is the inside of the card:

It’s pretty neat how it opens up in layers.

Stampers Delights February Release – Chibi Onesie Cuties

Today I’m sharing the Stampers Delights Chibi February release.  You can find the entire February release here.  This card uses the Chibi – Onesie Cuties digital stamp.

I printed out one of the cuties and cut it out with my ScanNCut.  She’s so perfect for a fun, flirty valentine.  And I wanted to make sure my valentine sparkled! I started with a simple background of fun holographic washi tape.  Then I cut a heart out of some of the most sparkly glitter paper I own.  I had a lot of fun coloring her up with Copics and of course added Stickles to make her sparkle even more.

Stampers Delights February Release – Kawaii Spring Fox

It’s February, and that means it’s time for a new release from Stampers Delights.  You can find the entire February release here.  This card uses the Kawaii Spring Fox digital stamp.  I enjoy using digital stamps because they are fun to resize and play around with, and I went big and bold for my cute spring fox scene.

The fox is colored with Copics E08, E15, and E99.  The white is shaded with E53 and E50.  I colored the fence with E44, E43, and E41. One of my favorite ways to build a scene for a card is with DSP for the sky and grass.  I used some stitched landscape dies to give the ground a bit of added interest.  The finishing touch was a shadow under the fox using one of my favorite dies to add a shadow and ground my images.  And don’t forget the Stickles!  Glitter makes everything better.

Stampers Delights Progressive Challenge – February

Are you a member of the Stampers Delights Delights Facebook Fan Group?  Have you seen the Progressive Challenge?  Join each month to receive the monthly image for free!  This month is Autumn Fox.  She might be an autumn fox, but in February she makes a great valentine!  I love a versatile stamp!  Click below for details:

I used a card from the last time I participated in Kendra’s Card Challenge (sixteen cards with different sketches made from 12 pieces of 6×6 paper) as the card base.  Added a big heart to frame this foxy cutie. She sure was fun to work with.  I can’t wait to see what you do with her!

Stampers Delights January Sale! – Chibi Spotlight

I’m back with some more inspiration to go along with the HUGE SALE in the Stampers Delights shop!  Today I chose Chibi Get Well Girl.  I colored her with Copics, but also masked off and stamped some patterns onto her blanket and pillow.  Her hair is colored with Y21, E25, E37, and E99 and her skin is colored with E000, E21, and E00.

I felt like trying a new technique, so I went looking through the SCS Tutorials and found the Acrylic Batik technique.  As usual, it was very fun.

First you clear emboss a background on some cardstock and then spread acrylic paint with a credit card or gift card.  I don’t know about you, but I keep all my used gift cards for just such an occasion.

Stampers Delights January Sale!

There is a HUGE SALE going on in the Stampers Delights shop!  I chose to highlight a pretty floral image today.  This beautiful rose can be found here. It was so fun to color with my Copic Markers.  I kept the card design pretty simple to let the beauty of the flowers shine (with a little help from some Stickles).

Stampers Delights December Sale! – Chibi Snowball Fight

For the Stampers Delights December sale event, I’m sharing my card using the Chibi Snowball Fight digital stamp.  Click here to shop the sale!  This digital image comes in jpeg and png formats, click below to buy it from the shop.

Again, I used a VSN Mini Challenge to inspire my design.  The December Virtual Stamp Night kicked off last week with three Mini challenges.  In Mini Challenge #2, Misti gave us a TV Guide themed color challenge to use red, white, and one other color on our cards.  I chose blue for the sky and my chibi’s sparkling eyes.  I cut him and some snow and snowballs with my ScanNCut.  Kept his warm clothes red and black to fit the color challenge.  This nice icy paper that I used behind him is actually “Frozen” themed.  It was a 12 x 12 piece of paper that I picked up on clearance at Hobby Lobby.  It has Elsa and Anna in the corner, but I cut them off and just used the cool icy part.  I added glossy accents to his eye and Stickles to the snow along with some falling Stickles snow behind him.  I love that extra bit of sparkle and shine.

Stampers Delights Progressive Challenge – December

Are you a member of the Stampers Delights Delights Facebook Fan Group?  Have you seen the Progressive Challenge?  Join each month to receive the monthly image for free!  This month is Anime Holiday Cheer.  She makes a very fun Christmas card, but we also have to remind ourselves next Thanksgiving to bring her out for Thanksgiving cards!  Click below for details:

I love to work with digital stamps, because you can resize them however you like.  They’re so versatile.  One day I might want to use the whole image, but sometimes I like to really zoom in and use part of it.

I wanted that turkey to take center stage.  It needed some stenciling to make it shine, so I got out my sunburst stencil and inked on some rays.

But I realized that wasn’t really the look I was going for.  I wanted the turkey itself to glow.  So I had to cut out my image and put it on a new piece of paper.  Then I stenciled the light emanating from the turkey.  I also coated the turkey in Nuvo Crystal Glaze to make it really mouthwatering.  Are your fat pants ready for Christmas?

Stampers Delights October Release – Anime Cheers

Today I’m sharing the Stampers Delights Anime Cheers Stamp.  You can find the entire October release here.  As always this digital image comes in jpeg and png formats AND, this is also available as a clear stamp!

I printed out the digital version and cut it out with my ScanNCut.  She was so fun to color up with my Copic markers.  I also printed her out on some green patterned paper, so I could paper piece her a fun top.  It was so easy to paper piece this image–I felt like a kid again playing with paper dolls. I wanted to make her multiple outfits to change into!  And it was a great way to use up a bit of my scraps of patterned paper.
