Stampers Delights October Release – A Gift 4U Girl

October is here and it’s time for a new release at Stampers Delights!  Today I’m sharing the Stampers Delights Chibi October release.  You can find the entire October release here.  This card uses the Chibi – A Gift 4U Girl digital stamp.  As always this digital image comes in jpeg and png formats AND, this is also available as a clear stamp!

I printed out the digital version and cut it out with my ScanNCut.  She was so fun to color up with my Copic markers.  After I colored her dress red, I decided that her red dress would look really good with some Tiffany blue gift boxes.  I often like to go back into the old Sketch Challenges here at SCS for a little extra inspiration.  For this card, I used Sketch Challenge #242:

It’s a great sketch to use up my scraps of patterned paper, so I dug through my drawer of scraps and found some fun papers that coordinated well with my coloring.  She needed a little bit of extra sparkle and texture, so I added in some fun iridescent sequins.

I just love the way those sequins catch the light!

Stampers Delights Progressive Challenge – October

This week’s Watercolor Wednesday Challenge was watercoloring pumpkins.  So I printed out my digi for some no line watercoloring.  I used my Spectrum Aqua markers and a technique that we learned in last week’s Watercolor Wednesday Challenge.

I don’t know about you, but fall puts me in a plaid kind of mood and making my own plaid backgrounds is one of my favorite things to do. I grabbed a piece of MFT Natural cardstock and some fun fall colored Spectrum Noir markers and went to town.

Stampers Delights September Release – Chibi Angel Globe

Today I’m sharing the Stampers Delights Chibi September release.  You can find the entire September release here.  This card uses the Chibi – Angel Globe digital stamp.  As always this digital image comes in jpeg and png formats AND, this is also available as a clear stamp!

I printed out the digital version and cut it out with my ScanNCut.  She’s very versatile.  I know she would have made an awesome Christmas card, but I couldn’t resist making a new baby girl card.  I colored her up with my Copics and then watercolored the inside of the snowglobe with Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide.

I stamped the repeated “Little Angel” all over a piece of pink DSP and popped the snowglobe up on foam squares.  I think my favorite part of this stamp is the different sentiments that are included to put on the little plaque on the base of the globe.

Stampers Delights September Release – Sweet Angel

It’s September, and that means it’s time for a new release from Stampers Delights.  You can find the entire September release here.  This card uses the Anime – Sweet Angel digital stamp.  I enjoy using digital stamps because they are fun to resize and play around with, but if you prefer clear stamps you’re in luck–as always this is also available as a clear stamp!

I wanted to be able to really focus on that beautiful far away look in her eyes, so I zoomed and cropped the image.  Those beautiful eyes are colored with B12 and B24.  Her hair is done with YR31, YR20, and YR23 and her skin is colored with E93, E53, E21, and E51.  For her dress I used B60 and B63.  I did a light watercolor wash background using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.

I love this sentiment “Feathers remind us that angels are near” so I took that feather theme and ran with it.  I colored those gorgeous wings with Wink of Stella. If you look closely at the background, you can see the shaving cream technique  background that I also used to mop up some ink.  I like the depth of the two different techniques on one background.  Then I stamped feathers all over it in Versafine Clair Medieval Blue ink.  It’s such a deep, rich blue and it covered the technique background perfectly.

Stampers Delights August Release – Too Cute to Spook

Today I’m sharing the Stampers Delights Chibi August release.  You can find the entire August release here.  This card uses the Chibi – Too Cute to Spook digital stamp.  As always this digital image comes in jpeg and png formats AND, this is also available as a clear stamp!

I printed out the digital version with some leaves and cut them out with my ScanNCut.  She was very fun to color with my Copics.

To keep the falling leave theme going, I applied some Nuvo Expanding Mousse in a couple of different colors to kraft paper through my favorite leaf motif stencil from STAMPlorations.  I don’t like when summer comes to an end, but autumn sure is a beautiful season isn’t it?

Friendships Grow – Chibi July Release

Today we’re celebrating the  Stampers Delights  July release of Chibi-Friendships Grow.  As always this digital image comes in jpeg and png formats but this stamp set is also available as a clear stamp!  I love it! You can find the July release here.

I cut the stamp out using my ScanNCut and really enjoyed coloring her with my Copics.  Skin: R20, E11, E02, E00 | Hair: YR20, Y21, YR23 | Dress: R22, R20

I wanted a sunny card, so I used the flower image as a sun behind her, masked it, and applied yellow and gold Paper Glaze through a radial stencil.  She’s watering her field of patterned paper flowers and surrounded by shiny gold sequins.

Cute As a Bug – Kawaii July Release

It’s my second month with the  Stampers Delights  Design Team as a Guest Designer!  And I have even more cuteness to share.  You can find the July release here.  This card uses the Kawaii Cute As a Bug digital stamp.  As always this digital image comes in jpeg and png formats but, hey, this little cutie is also available as a clear stamp!

I decided I really wanted to paper piece this scene, so I printed out four copies.  I grabbed some simple patterned paper in red, yellow, and green.  The green for her head and dress felt like it needed something else, so I put a piece of packing tape over it to give it some shine.  I did the same thing with her watering can.

Her skin is colored with Copic E11, E02, and E00 and her hair is colored with C5, BV08, and C9.  I used a stitched rectangle die and used a postal stamp lightly in the corner to give this a postcard feel.  Then of course I needed to add glitter and glossy accents.  Look at the shimmer and shine!

Digi Mojo Midsummer Mushroom Hunt – Stampers Delights

Have you seen the Midsummer Mushroom Hunt that is going on this weekend in the DigiMojo Facebook group? If you’re not a member of the group, make sure you join so you can play along!  There are sure to be lots of great freebies and prizes.  This card is made using the Stampers Delights Fawn image that will be featured over the weekend.  Make sure to stop by and join the Stampers Delights Fan Group.

I really enjoyed coloring up this image with my Copics.  I drew a hill for the faun to sit on and masked both the hill and the faun so I could sponge a golden sky with sun rays.  Then I masked the sky to sponge the hill.  After I finished inking it up, I splattered with water for a more magical look.  After I die cut the paper, I decided that it needed a golden border to really frame the scene.  So I rubbed the edges with Nuvo expanding mousse.

Stampers Delights June Release – Chibi Smile

Today we’re celebrating the  Stampers Delights  June release of Chibi-Smile.  Isn’t she so fun! You can find the June release here.

I made this card for one of my best friends.  Don’t we all have that one friend with whom we share so many memories and inside jokes?  That friend that you sing silly songs with?  That’s Jess.  My “first Lakeville friend” who I bonded with over our love for Del Shannon’s Runaway.  On this card, cartoon Jess is singing her classic Whitney Houston Medley.  We think we are hilarious.

I cut the stamp out using my ScanNCut and really enjoyed coloring her with my Copics.  Skin: R20, E11, E00, E000 | Hair: E31, E35, E44, E47

I finished her off with Nuvo Crystal Glaze on her eyes and headphones to give them some extra shine.  She looks like such a superstar singing along to her mixed tape that she needed a fabulous background.  I grabbed this leftover nail polish marbling background from my drawer.  I think that’s my last one.  I might need to make some more.  I also grabbed some fun foam stars and covered them with Stickles.

Stampers Delights June Release – Believe in Yourself

I’ve joined the Stampers Delights  Design Team as a Guest Designer!  I just love the fun Stampers Delights stamps.  So much cuteness!  You can find the June release here.  This card uses the Anime Believe in Yourself digital stamp.

I cut her out using my ScanNCut and really enjoyed coloring her with my Copics.  Skin: R20, E15, E11, E00 | Hair: E31, E35, E44, E47 | Clothes: B39, B95, B93, B63, B60

I finished her off with Nuvo Crystal Glaze on the lollipop and eyes to give them some extra shine.  I needed a fun and colorful background, so I grabbed these scraps of watercolor paper off my desk.  I’ve been using these small scraps of watercolor paper to soak up the ink left on my mat after I watercolor.  And I happened to have a beautiful rainbow of scraps. I framed her up with some stitched die cuts and added the sentiment “Smile, It looks great on you!” stamped in Versafine Clair ink.
